Oticon RIA2 Frequent Replacement of Speaker
I am also experiencing receiver/speaker replacements every 3-4 few months in each ear. The hearing aid is 1 1/2 years old.
I use a dehumidifier, religiously replace the filter every 2 weeks and clean the unit every night. The audiologist agrees this is not normal but does not know why it is happening. Fortunately, I have a 3 year warranty and the audiologist replaces it free of charge. However, when the warranty is up, it will cost me $95 every time it is replaced, about $600 a year.
I have been out of the country and it failed.
I now take my old Oticon non-digital hearing aid with me on all trips. It never fails and is 7 years old.
Reason of review: what is happening.
Monetary Loss: $1200.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
