My first hearing aids were 35 years ago at age 35. There was a difficult adjustment, but no one even knew I was teaching high school students with them. Then, at Valley ENT in Tucson, I got my first Oticons. Wore three different sets, with the Alta being fantastic,...Read more
My husband bought these hearing aids - they were his third pair - each one more expensive than the previous. These hearing aids have several programs but you can't use them unless you set the volume and leave it in one place. My husband likes to change the volume which...Read more
I bought a $3200 set of aids; streamer; microphone and TV connector device. The volume in the hearing aids drops after every phone call. The store tried many times to make "adjustments". When I tried to get a refund and return the hearing aids and equipment, Oticon...Read more

Frustration in using Oticon herding aid, don't buy
Regularly my Oticon hearing aid goes into Demo mode and there is no way you get out of demo mode without going back to the dealer. The dealer in Toledo is very nice but days go by without the use of my hearing aid. Do not buy their defective $7000 product JUNK.
Hearing Aids Review
Switched fron miracle ear to this one. Had this one for less than six months and experienced problems with speaker wire going out in both and ear pieces coming off in canal and problem with correct fit to eliminate squeal. Not happy about spending 5,000 to have these issues.
I am also experiencing receiver/speaker replacements every 3-4 few months in each ear. The hearing aid is 1 1/2 years old. I use a dehumidifier, religiously replace the filter every 2 weeks and clean the unit every night. The audiologist agrees this is not normal but...Read more

Was fitted for the Oticon set around the 1st of the year. I had been using a Phonak which just broke and was unrepairable. OK I take the audiologist advice and go with this brand. After several tweeks and in spite of my obvious difficulties in restaurants and movies...Read more
I purchased a pair Otican Alta hearings almost 2 years ago for $4750. Within a year, I was not hearing properly with one of them. Both were sent in and replaced under warranty. Fast forward 10 months, and one of the new ones stopped working. Currently sent in for...Read more
I am a pianist and piano tuner. I received my third pair of Oticon instruments, Alta, I believe. There is at least one note on the piano which is altered by the instruments to sound grossly out of tune. If I strike the note three times, the instrument purifies it and...Read more
